Nether Boreland
Coach House

The Chariots of Fire Driving Centre is a small, nationally recognised centre where we aim to bring the formerly elite sport of carriage driving to mainstream people. By creating an environment based on the values of encouragement, kindness, laughter and discipline where people can feel sufficiently at ease to take on challenges that might normally seem intimidating. We have the equipment, ponies, facilities, expertise and personal support to offer those who wish to take up the available opportunities. We are the only centre in the UK bringing on children as young as 3 years old into carriage driving, giving them the chance to compete up to national level.
Opportunities
We are also involved in developing the motor and social skills of children in care in our local area. We work with a number of care organisations to enable youngsters to come into as natural an environment as possible. They have the chance to ride and drive with 1:1 support and, as their skills improve, compete alongside other able bodied drivers. It is this structure and discipline that enables them to feel totally nurtured and produces the best that they have to give, often surprising themselves!
We work with many drivers with disabilities -
So you see, there’s much more than just good Scottish Bed and Breakfast accommodation at Nether Boreland.
Do you fancy a go at carriage driving? Give us a call and we'll give you the experience of a lifetime!

We hold regular 'Try Driving Days' at the Centre where you can come along and have a go and a sport that would usually be out of reach.
